Due to COVID-19, all Marylanders are encouraged to vote by mail.

Your request for a mail-in ballot must be received by October 20, 2020.

There are a few ways to request your ballot:

• If you have an MD driver's license or State-issued ID, you can request a ballot online by clicking this link.
• Text VBM (English) or VPC (Spanish) to 777-88. The State will text you a link to request your mail-in ballot online
• Fill out this paper form and get it to your local election office before the deadline (instructions are in the link).

To return your ballot:

• Make sure you follow all of the instructions closely on your ballot to ensure that your vote is counted!
• Drop off ballot at locations determined by County Board of Election. These locations will be open through the early voting period and Election Day. This is what Local 25 recommends.
• Mail the ballot using the return envelope with pre-paid postage
• Submit an electronic ballot. Electronic ballots are intended for voters unable to vote in-person or by mail and can be requested here.

Mail-in ballots must be postmarked or placed in a designated drop box ASAP and by 8pm on November 3, 2020 at the latest.

If you cannot vote by mail or want to vote in person, Marylanders can vote during early voting or on election day. If you plan to vote in person, we encourage you to vote early to avoid crowds and long lines.

• Early voting will be held for 8 days and begin on October 26, 2020 through November 2, 2020.
• Election Day is November 3, 2020.

The list of early voting centers will be posted here when the locations are finalized.

+ Register to Vote

You can check whether you are registered to vote in Maryland here. If you are not registered to vote, there are two ways you can register to vote.

First, you can register online here. You must have a Maryland driver's license or other ID card issued by MVA to register online. In order to receive a mailed ballot for the November election, you must register to vote by Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

Second, you can register on the same day you go to vote (on Election Day or during early voting) at the designated polling location. You must bring a document proving residency in Maryland. This can be a paycheck, bank statement, utility bill, or other official document with your name and address.

Puede verificar si está registrado para votar en Maryland aquí. Si no está registrado para votar, hay dos formas de registrarse.

Primero, puede registrarse en línea aquí. Debe tener una licencia de manejar de Maryland u otra tarjeta de identificación emitida por la MVA para registrarse en línea. Para recibir una boleta electoral enviada por correo para las elecciones de noviembre, debe registrarse para votar antes del martes 13 de octubre de 2020.
