How to Vote and Receive your Ballot
If you are already registered to vote, you do not need to take further action to receive a ballot. You can check your registration status here, as well as update it if you have moved.
If you are not registered to vote, you can do so here. If you would prefer to register in person, you can see a calendar of election related events here.
+ Voting by Mail
All active registered voters will receive a Mail In ballot at their registered address beginning the first week in October.
We recommend returning your ballot by placing it in one of the 50 drop sites around DC. The sites will open beginning October 14. You can also return it in person to a polling place, or mail it back as soon as possible. All ballots must be postmarked by November 8 and received by the Board of Elections no later than November 15 Remember to carefully follow all of the instructions on your mail-in ballot, otherwise your vote may not be counted! Once you've submitted it, you can check the progress of your ballot to make sure there are no issues here.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT! Use the form ONLY if you want your ballot sent to a location other than your registered address!
+ Voting in Person
If you do vote in person, we recommend doing so at an early voting site to avoid lines and crowds. Vote Centers for the November 8th General Election will open October 31 to November 8th from 8:30am to 7:00pm and. You can vote at ANY early voting site. And, on November 8, 2022 (Election Day), Vote Centers will open from 7:00 am – 8:00 pm.

Cómo Votar y Recibir su Boleta
Si ya está registrado para votar, no necesita tomar más medidas para recibir su boleta. Puede consultar el estatus de su registro aquí, también puede actualizarlo si se ha mudado.

+ VOTAR POR CORREO
Todos los votantes registrados activos recibirán una boleta por correo a la dirección registrada a partir de la primera semana de octubre.
Recomendamos devolver su boleta colocándola en uno de los 50 sitios de entrega alrededor de DC. Los sitios se abrirán a partir del 14 de octubre. También puede devolverlo en persona a un lugar de votación o enviarlo por correo lo más antes posible. Todas las boletas tienen que ser estampilladas antes del 8 de noviembre y tienen que ser recibidas por La Junta de Elecciones no más tarde que el 15 de noviembre. ¡Asegúrese de seguir cuidadosamente todas las instrucciones en su boleta por correo, si no, es posible que su voto no se cuente! + VOTAR EN PERSONA
Si vota en persona, le recomendamos que lo haga en un sitio devotación temprana para evitar filas y multitudes. Los Centros de Votación para las Elecciones Generales del 8 de noviembre abrirán del 31 de octubre al 6 de novimbre de 8:30 am a 7:00 pm y. Puede votar en CUALQUIER sitio de votación temprana. Y, el 8 de noviembre de 2022 (día de las elecciones), los centros de votación abrirán de 7:00 am a 8:00 pm.
