Health Benefits

Employees in non-union hotels pay hundreds of dollars a month for health insurance, making healthcare unaffordable for most.  Our union contract requires employers to pay nearly all of the costs of members' health benefits, including health, dental, and optical care.  Because of our union contract, members and their families have affordable access to these essential benefits.

Health care

Members can directly access Kaiser’s services by clicking here or calling Member Services: (301) 468-6000 in the Washington Metro area and (800) 777-7902 for outside the Washington Metro Area.

Dental Care

Dental care is provided by Dentegra and can be used at approved dentist offices.  Members can make an appointment or ask questions about their dental care by calling (877) 280-4204. Members will be asked for their Dentegra I.D. number.

Optical care

Optical care is EyeMed insurance provided by Group Vision Service. A list of locations that accept Group Vision Service can be obtained by calling (866) 723-0513 or clicking here and selecting “Find a Provider.”

Problems and questions

The Benefits Administrator can assist members with problems accessing dental or optical benefits, and can provide information on eligibility.  They can be reached at (301) 459-3020.

REtiring?

Members who are in the process of retiring who would like to continue receiving Kaiser Healthcare or Dentegra dental care can contact the union office at (202) 737-2225.
